food for thought

Appreciation: Appreciate food. Appreciate your fruits and veggies for the nutrients they provide. But, also appreciate your sugars, sweets, and fats. Appreciate and enjoy the best of both worlds. The world tells you to choose. The truth is, you don’t have to.

Indulgence: Indulge in the foods you feel you should deprive yourself of. Yes, consume a primarily healthy, lean diet, but also consume desserts and treats every now and again. Food is fuel, but why should it have to be boring?

Moderation: Moderate your intake of the indulgent things. Consume sweet and salty things sparingly, but don’t altogether abstain from them. As long as you eat more healthy things than unhealthy things, you will achieve balance in your eating habits and, ultimately, eat victoriously. I’m a libra, so balance is important to me.

Look to this blog for stories, recipes, lessons learned, tips, links, and pretty much anything else that has to do with food. Oh, what if it doesn’t have to do with food? No such thing. EVERYTHING has to do with food.
